The Crystal Pool and Fitness Centre is scheduled to close permanently on September 25, 2026, to allow construction of the new facility to begin. Recreation services will transition to the interim facility at 851 Broughton Street, which will be known as the Victoria Recreation Centre. Repairs and upgrades are currently underway, with the interim facility expected to open in early 2027.
From September 11 to 25, visitors can view historical photos in the Crystal Pool lobby, contribute to the memory wall, and receive a commemorative Crystal Pool sticker with admission.
