Thank you to everyone who attended our Swap and Sow event on June 20! The event featured:
- Button making with Substance
- A fundraising concession for our hamper program
- Mini greenhouses using recycled materials from our hamper program
- A garden swap
- Garden bags and plant starters in partnership with FED Urban Agriculture and Fairfield United Church
- The launch of our 2026 Community Values Survey
- Door prizes from local arts and sports organizations, including Intrepid Theatre, WIN Craft and Upcycling, Pacific Opera Victoria, Paper Street Theatre, Pacific Football Club, Victoria Royals, and Forge Gym. Congratulations to all of our door prize winners!
- A free community BBQ with snacks and cold drinks
The event helped fulfill deliverables for our My Great Neighbourhood Grant, New Horizons for Seniors Program grant, and Disability Alliance BC grant. It also raised much-needed funds for our food hamper program, which currently operates without dedicated funding.
