Silver Threads Sampler: Local Authors Panel

Are you an older adult looking to try something different this summer? Now that COVID restrictions are beginning to lift and it is more comfortable to venture out Silver Threads Service has just the thing for you.

In support of the Writers Club and Book Club at Silver Threads, we explore the love of literature with a panel presentation and discussion that will be sure to inspire and engage. Thank you to Munro’s Books for the author connections!

Anny Scoones Times Colonist contributor and author of six books including “Island Home: Out and About on Vancouver Island”

Jo Owens author of “A Funny Kind of Paradise”

M.A.C Farrant writer, memoirist, journalist, and humorist including her latest BC bestseller “One Good Thing: A Living Memoir”

Arleen Paré author of seven books including winner of the Governor General’s Award for Poetry for “Lake of Two Mountains”

  • Registration is recommended.
  • Cash Sales Only ($20/book). Book signing available.

Location

  • Royal Athletic Park (1014 Caledonia Ave). The entrance is off of Caledonia, halfway between Vancouver and Caledonia.

COVID-19 precautions:

  • Registration is required for this event (Eventbrite or in paper at the park)
  • Participants to sanitize their hands before entering program space
  • Participants are required to maintain a physical distance of 2 m from others, unless otherwise sharing bubbles.
  • Participants will not attend the workshop if they are feeling unwell, or experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms
