North Park Jane’s Walk

You’re invited for a Jane’s Walk of North Park!

đź“ŤLocation: meet at Franklin Green
đź“… Date: Sunday, May 8, 2022
đź•™ Time: 11am (approx. 90 minutes)

Jane’s Walks are a community-based approach to city building that uses volunteer-led walking tours to make space for people to observe, reflect, share, question, and re-image the places in which they live, work and play.

No registration is required. Meet at Franklin Green at 11am. The route is accessible for walkers, strollers, and wheelchairs. Map maker Masami Teramachi is currently working on a custom, hand drawn map of the walking route! All participants will receive their own copy of the map along with an NPNA tote, baseball hat, or kids sized bucket hat.

On the North Park Jane’s Walk, we will start in Franklin Green and then go on a 10-stop walking tour of locations throughout the neighbourhood – with a speaker at each stop. We’ll talk about North Park’s past – present – and future. The walking tour will take about 90 minutes and will include a stop at the Multicultural Festival taking place at Royal Athletic Park! You’ll have the option to end your tour at the market or continue on for two more stops.
