UVic Heatwave Study Open House

Not all neighbourhoods experience heatwaves alike. The built environment makes a big difference about how heatwaves impact individuals.

Come join the North Park Community Mapping session to share your experience and hear from others on the heatwaves we have experienced the past few years.

This project is being done through the UVic Geography department, and is looking at how rising temperatures have been affecting North Park, also known as the Urban Heat Island Effect.

We want to hear from community members on how they experienced these times of intense heat and what they want to see in their community in the future to make it more heat resilient!

We welcome anyone and everyone to join us on Saturday, October 29th, from 12-3pm in the North Park community room (1025 Mason Street) for coffee, snacks, and an afternoon of mapping fun!
