I have lived in North Park for 5 years and I am continually amazed by the compassion, creativity and perseverence of the members of this community. North Park is a very special neighborhood and I am proud to live here.

I work on an interdisciplinary team as a case worker with Island Health, and I am half-way through a Masters of Counselling program with City University, where I am also the Student Council President. I have also worked as a Quality Analyst with what is now Telus Health, as the Crisis Line Manager at a local suicide hotline, and as a bilingual supervisor with Kids Help Phone. I also volunteered with Indigenous and psychiatric organizations in Ottawa before moving to Victoria to be closer to family. I want to give back to this wonderful community and I would love to do so alongside the NPNA.

Alisa Shebib is a long-time Victoria resident, artist, and small business owner with a strong commitment to community care and inclusive spaces. Her business is located in the heart of North Park, and she is deeply invested in the neighbourhood’s vibrancy and resilience. Alisa brings over two decades of experience in creative entrepreneurship, advocacy, and grassroots organizing. As a bisexual woman and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, she is passionate about equity, representation, and creating safer, welcoming spaces for all. She is especially engaged in issues around accessible housing, food security, and supporting neurodiverse and disabled individuals. A devoted gardener, Alisa finds joy and connection through growing food and nurturing green spaces. She currently volunteers with local nonprofits and believes in the power of mutual aid and creative problem-solving

Bharat is a North Park resident keenly interested in ensuring North Park stays a diverse and welcoming neighbourhood, and protecting and expanding the green spaces, parks and amenities that benefit our small, walk and bike-friendly community.

A passionate advocate for a thriving local economy, EJ comes from a background in managing commercial properties and family enterprises. As the principle for a commercial property assets firm, EJ evaluates agreements from the perspective of investors, landlords and tenants as well as an understanding of the value of building trusted long term relationships. With a background that
also includes the construction industry, with a focus on forward-looking communications
infrastructure, they have an understanding of commercial real estate from many angles. EJ has overseen the design, bid and build process for restorations and renovations to multiple
commercial property assets in Greater Victoria.

Katie is passionate about urban forests, reducing the urban heat island effect, and creating community spaces. Katie loves North Park’s diversity and is grateful to live in a walkable, bikeable, five-minute neighbourhood.
