Project Overview:

The Aboriginal Coalition to End Homelessness (ACEH), in collaboration with BC Housing, is developing a five-storey building comprising 33 studio and one two-bedroom units. It will deliver wrap-around services, including culturally appropriate social, health, and land-based healing support, tailored for the Indigenous street family.

Project Update:

Construction is anticipated to begin on May 26, 2026. While construction dates are subject to change, this is currently the anticipated start date. 

BC Housing sent a letter to neighbouring residents in mid-May regarding the construction. The letter included key contact information for the City’s Transportation team, the Construction Site Supervisor, the operator (ACEH), and BC Housing. You can view the May 15, 2026 letter here. 

Construction is anticipated to wrap up in early 2028, with the building expected to open within the same timeframe.
