1925 Blanshard Street (Save on Foods Memorial Arena)
Project Overview:
On December 18, the North Park Neighbourhood Association (NPNA) received notice from the City of Victoria regarding a liquor licence application for a proposed new outdoor patio at Save-On-Foods Memorial Arena. The patio would be located at the intersection of Caledonia Avenue and Blanshard Street.
The proposal indicates an occupant load of 450, with no increase to the arena’s existing total occupant load of 9,398, which already includes a 60-person patio area. Because there is no net increase in occupant capacity, the patio would be restricted to ticket holders only. Proposed hours for the patio are from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., applicable only during special events.
Project Update:
The NPNA issued a notice requesting public comments on the proposal and submitted a summary letter to the City of Victoria on January 13, 2026. The applicant is currently revising the application based on community feedback.
